Page One Blog

Since you have made it here, chances are you are either a webmaster or a site owner looking for more information on how to make your website perform better and get more traffic.

SEO is not as complex as you may think. Yes, the search engine algorithms are puzzling to say the least and Google has over 200 factors they take into consideration when determining where your website will be placed in the search results, but so long as you have the key elements working for you it is possible to get page one positioning.

This blog is intended to help educate you on what you should do, and more importantly what you should NOT do, to bring traffic to your website.

When it comes to getting websites ranked in search engines, many website owners are intimidated by technology and the complexity of Google algorithms. In reality, you really only need to focus on three main areas and everything else will take care of itself. Those three areas are:

  1. Keywords
  2. Content
  3. Links

That’s it. If you learn how to do those three things well your site will outrank your competition. Yes, there are intricacies within those three main topics that can make a difference but you can get to page one in the search engines on those three alone IF you do them right.

You need not let technology scare you. Managing a website does not have to be complicated or expensive. One of the reasons WordPress has become so popular is because you do not need to be a techie to use it. WordPress also allows many of the tasks mentioned above to be fully automated or turned into a point and click process. If you can type an email you can use WordPress.

SEO Q&A

This blog is intended as a resource to help demystify doing business online. If you can’t find your answer here…just ask! There is an SEO Q&A post specifically for that purpose. Ask your SEO question and get an SEO expert answer.

WordPress and SEO Tutorials

You will find helpful tutorials and articles to educate you on all aspects of using WordPress and how to properly optimize your website. There is a great deal of misinformation online created by people who’s sole interest is getting you to purchase their information product. Don’t fall into that trap. They will tell you it is a secret system or that SEO is too complex for a non-technical person to manage. The fact is there is no secret system that is legal to use and SEO is not that complex, what it is is time consuming!

I am sure you are thinking that there has to be a catch. That I am not offering this valuable information for free without an ulterior motive. True, I do make a living as an SEO expert, but I also know that it is important for a website owner to know what needs to be done to rank well in the search engines and how to do it. I also know that the majority of website owners do not have the available time to make their website a full-time effort and that is where I come in.

So take the time to educate yourself on this blog. Learn about SEO and WordPress and implement all of the elements for your website. If you need help or don’t have the available time, contact me and I would be happy to help you out.
